Father Sabas Maury was the parish priest of Miglos from 1890 to 1906.
He composed “Arièjo ô moun païs”, which has since become the hymn to Ariège:

Sabas Jean-Marie Aubin Maury
Born March 1, 1863 in Gestiés.
He was appointed parish priest of Miglos on January 19, 1890.
He remained there until 1906.
He was appointed on August 24, 1906, dean of Varilhes.
He died on November 26, 1923 at the age of 61 after 37 years of priesthood.
He was buried in Varilhe
